About Derek Coppess

Derek Coppess is proud to be a boutique property developer. As much as he loves the concept of creating something from nothing and revitalizing something old and unloved, Derek also has an eternal appreciation for classic architecture. While attending William & Mary College, Derek fell in love with Colonial Williamsburg, regarded as the world’s largest living history museum. The area hosts working tradespeople from bygone eras, multiple art museums, and historic functional structures. Derek gained a newfound admiration for the level of detail and beauty that went into these older buildings. When he built his numerous urban loft projects, Derek Coppess combined the two aesthetics into a unique tapestry that highlighted the beauty of both. Read more at his website.
